Old Sturbridge Village, one of the largest outdoor history museums in the United States, is located in south central Massachusetts. Opened to the public in 1946, OSV's collections, research, exhibits and programs focus on the history of rural New England in the early years of the American republic, 1790-1840. This focus provides the unique character and content of the OSV experience as visitors are invited to find meaning, pleasure, relevance and inspiration through the exploration of history.
