The Donor Events Communication Coordinator supports public-facing communications related to donor events at OMCA. Working in close coordination with the graphic design department, this position plays a key role in securing invitation copy and images, submitting design requests, and managing design feedback between the development department and graphics team. In addition, this role is responsible for sending print and digital communications, including mailed invites, mass email reminders and post-event communications. Also responsible for supporting the Donor Events Manager with event preparations and event-day logistics as needed. The position is part-time (22.5 hours per week), preferably on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Develop and maintain annual event communications calendar
Coordinate process for drafting and writing event invitation copy
Identify images for use in event communications
Secure photographer for events and oversee storage and use of event photography
Submit graphic design requests and facilitate the design process between graphics department and development department
Complete minor copy edits on event communications, as needed
Draft and send digital event reminders
Track and update email address updates
Create event signage using designed templates
Provide website listings and web content updates to marketing department
Draft PowerPoint presentations for event programs and internal event meetings
Support donor event preparations and day-of logistics, as needed


Ability to display and encourage visitor and internal customer service, take and share
responsibility and treat others with respect
1-3 years of related experience required
English language proficiency in both spoken and written form
Professional written communication while maintaining a friendly and customer-oriented tone
Administrative experience, preferably with nonprofit membership or fundraising
Proven track-record of managing timelines, developing processes and coordinating projects with multiple stakeholder groups
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload with competing deadlines
Familiar with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive) and Mailchimp (or comparable email platform)
Passionate about utilizing effective communication strategies to foster community engagement
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, desired but not required
